Who we are

Kent Street Senior High School has shaped generations of Western Australians.

The Kentian Society (Inc) exists to make sure their stories are never lost.

Our volunteers have spent decades cataloging thousands of artefacts — from building plans to historical photographs — and bringing them to the public through online exhibitions and physical displays, as well as occasional loans to other organisations.  

This work provides valuable historical insights for families, academic researchers, and the wider community interested in the development of education in the south-eastern suburbs of Perth.

Our Strategic Plan and Operational Plan have been built on four pillars: Connect through networking, Discover through experiences, Contribute through giving back, and Inspire through sharing stories.

Together, these pillars form the foundation of our “making a difference” ethos by honouring the extraordinary journeys of our alumni while motivating current students to write their own chapters in Kent Street’s ongoing story.

All past students and staff of Kent Street SHS and their families are eligible for membership of the Kentian Society. Membership fees are:

Life               $140 single    $200 couple

5 Years         $35 single      $50 couple
